“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10 KJV).
The world is in crisis. Our Earth is highly unstable, with a host of seismic activities accompanied by numerous catastrophes day after day. Economies are tumbling and falling, with re-emergence of life-threatening diseases on the rise whilst the security of sovereign nations is threatened by terrorism. In the light of all these happenings, the heart of men is failing for fear of what’s coming upon humanity. Evil seems so close and not as distant as we once thought.
Nevertheless, when the days look to have been darkened with the tinge of evil, your Heavenly Father says: “Fret not, my child.”(Psalms 37:1).
Why not fret considering the heart-rending state of our world?
Don’t worry unnecessarily; because Satan is the god of this world but God, your Heavenly Father, is God of all gods. He is Supreme Ruler of all. He rules in the kingdom of men, and cares for His people (Daniel 4:25; 1 Peter 5:7).
Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like grass and wither as the green herb (Psalms 37:1-2).
Very soon all the mess would be over. Just like the changing seasons, the prevailing chaotic state would change; it wouldn’t continue for good (Ecclesiastes 3:1). All the dreaded evils of our time would certainly pass away. Falling economies, diseases, catastrophes and death would be things of the past.
How shall this be?
Shortly, God shall wipe away the tears of his children when He returns to take them unto Himself, and to dwell with them for good. The former ways would be over (Revelation 21:2-3).
However, as His Children await this great redemption, He says:“Do not be anxious for anything.” (Philippians 4:6). Take charge and have dominion (Genesis 1:28b). You are a Child of a King; not any ordinary king, but the king of all Kings. Exercise that power He’s given you through the outpouring of His Holy Spirit (Luke 10:19; Acts 1:8).
Do not let fear of the known and unknown control your life (2 Timothy 1:7). Press forward! God is with you. Be what He has created you to be. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 KJV). He is glorified when His children live up to their full potential and fulfill their divinely ordained purpose.
Always bear in mind that, He has promised not to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5; Psalms 27:10); and that He who made that promise is ever faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:24). Let not fear cripple the pursuit of your God-given dreams. Get up and press forward!
