It is sad most men major their lives on the minors, the unimportant, leaving the reason for their being unattended to. They live the lives of other people and fulfil the expectations of others, not being what they were created to be. Every life on Earth has a God-given purpose to accomplish. There is a duty only you can perform, and do rightly devoid of excesses. That is the reason for our individuality. And with that laid-down purpose as standard, every life would be accounted for.
Most lives end with regrets. Why?
On their death beds, many people realize the mess of the Creator’s purpose they made.
Why wait till death to realize this? Why not make an earnest pledge in your heart to seek and live that life of purpose? Resident within the fulfilment of that purpose lies true happiness.
Have you discovered the divinely ordained purpose for your existence? Are you living according to His plan for the fulfilment of that purpose? Are you a faithful steward of the life, gifts and talents in your body? And the marriage and children you have been blessed with? If you met your Creator this moment, what account will you give of your stewardship?
The creation can never establish its purpose outside of the Creator. Seek God, your Creator, to know His purpose and His plan for your existence. Once uncovered to you, pursue diligently and whole-heartedly. Be a good steward of what the Creator has given you; your natural gifts and talents must be used to serve this purpose. Your children are His heritage in your custody. Seek to give a good account of that custody when you meet Him.
From hind side, many people do forget that they are stewards of the manifold grace of the Creator. It is required in stewards that a man is found faithful. [1 Peter 4:10]
Every one of us shall give account of himself to God and shall receive rewards according as his work had been. [Romans 14:12; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 22:12]
What shall yours be, the account of your stewardship of His Grace? And what is your envisioned reward for that account?
Judge yourself now! Make appropriate changes to your life before it is too late to do so!
